Canter + Veld is an exciting venture founded by Lucy (a previous client, Wilderness Seekers). We were super excited to partner with her and her business partner to bring this beautiful brand to life. They recognised that in South Africa, there's aren't enough high quality, beautiful trail riding gear brands, and as avid bush lovers and riders themselves, they knew they just had to change that!
It's been so exciting to watch their business evolve from concept, product development, visual branding etc. and we can't wait to see what they do next!

The brand concept marries timeless elegance with the ruggedness of nature. Deep tones, both in the colour palette and photography emphasise the richness and quality, while the more roughened logotype reinforces the durability of the products. It exudes a premium feeling, without leaning into the unattainable luxury realm, and the boldness of the lettertype makes it a good fit to print on tough surfaces like leather. The logo marks have the feeling that they are etched in leather, with a handmade yet quality feeling like you’d get from an expert craftsman who has dedicated their life to perfecting their art.
