Timbavati Nature Reserve, over 53 000 hectares of incredible wilderness with a legacy of over 70 of successful, pioneering conservation, was ready to reimagine what the next 10 years could look like for their brand.

We embarked on the 18-month long process, beginning with a comprehensive, in-person 2 day workshop where we looked at their vision, values, positioning and internal rallying cry. After finalising the brand strategy we took on the ambitious task of bringing their visual identity into the modern age. Their mission has not changed, nor has their commitment to the wilderness they protect. Rooted in their heritage and grounded in shared values, their new logo and branding honours the journey they've walked, while paving the way for the work still to be done.

The bush buck - a quietly steadfast antelope that symbolises the safeguarding of communities and is widely considered “pure of heart”, remains a beautiful representation of the mission they hold close, now redefined for the future of Timbavati Nature Reserve.

The concept for the new Timbavati logo is a celebration of the epic history of the reserve and its story. The reserve is a testament to collaborative innovation and we felt a logo that honored its journey while modernising it for the future would allow the brand to take its place in the hall of fame.

By combining a new, customised bold sans-serif that has height and strength with a refined, more dynamic bush buck crest, the logo takes on a new presence - full of life, movement and curiosity for the future of these wilderness spaces.
